Research interest areas: HIV-associated renal disorders, renal complications of antiretroviral therapies and HIV-Hepatitis B and C co-infections.

Potential opportunities for collaboration: Rotations for medical students, residents in internal medicine, infectious/ tropical diseases; in particular HIV and hepatitis and nephrology. Collaborative research in these disciplines.

Biography: Dr. Agbaji was appointed as the ART team leader by the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) of Nigeria for the JUTH ART programme in 2004. And a member of the National task team on antiretroviral therapy in 2009. He has been Principal Investigator of the JUTH Harvard PEPFAR programme since July of 2009. The JUTH ART programme has cumulatively enrolled over 20,000 patients; one of the largest ART centres in Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Agbaji is a trained HIV trainer for the FMOH of Nigeria other United States PEPFAR Implementing Partners (IPs) in Nigeria.
